FAQ
1. HOW QUICKLY DO YOU SHIP?
Credit card purchases will be shipped within 24 – 48 hours of an approved order. Money Orders purchases will be shipped within 24 hours of receiving the money order by mail.

2. WHAT TAXES DO I PAY?
All Canadian orders are subject to either 15% HST for NB, NF and NS or 7% GST for all other Canadian provinces and territories. Non-Canadian purchases are not taxed in Canada.

International customers may or may not have to pay duty, local taxes or customs fees when their package arrives. These fees depend solely on the customs policies of a given country. We do not collect or benefit from the collection of these fees.

3. HOW DO I PAY IN ANOTHER CURRENCY?
If you use an international credit card your order will be charged in Canadian Dollars. The conversion is automatically calculated by your card issuing bank based on the current exchange rates. If you are paying by money order or certified cheque, please make certain the total is in Canadian dollars or the equivalent amount in the currency of your choice.

5. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located at 2120 Commercial Drive, Vancouver BC, V5N 4N4. The cross street is 5th. Ave.

6. WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Our hours of operation are from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm seven (7) days a week.

7. IS MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION SAFE?
Our site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol and 128-bit strong encryption to provide the highest level of security available. This system is safer than ordering over a phone, a fax, or even using your card in stores where your credit card information is sent over a phone line without any encryption. See our Privacy Statement for more information.

8. HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM?
If you are exchanging an item, PLEASE CONTACT US FIRST and let us know the item that you wish to exchange so that we may ensure sufficient inventory, otherwise we cannot guarantee that the new item you want will be in stock. Simply mail it back in original condition with the original invoice. Please indicate on the back of the invoice, or in an attached letter, the reason for the return of the item(s). Specify if you would prefer a charge credit or an exchange. If you are exchanging, let us know what you would like in place of the item being returned. We pay the shipping costs for the item(s) sent in exchange. Pack and seal your return securely (in the original package if possible). Please return item(s) either by mail or in person to this address.

9. WHAT IF MY PURCHASE ISN'T IN STOCK?
All items shown should be in stock, however sometimes there are rare cases when one or more people order an item at the same time, and the stock is misrepresented. If an item purchased is out of stock we will inform you as soon as possible. You can then make an exchange or receive a full refund.

10. HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY ORDER?
You can pay online by VISA, Mastercard, American Express.
You can pay by mail in the form of a Money Order or Certified Cheque.
You can pay by phone using your credit card.

During the checkout process you will have the opportunity to select your preferred payment type.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE & POLICY
A Small World Online makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that you receive your products in a timely fashion and in perfect condition. Unless indicated otherwise, ASW Online will ship all in-store stock items within 24 - 48 hours of receipt and completion of the order placed; Monday through Friday, unless no service is available due to a holiday. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be shipped the following Monday (unless it is a holiday). Items that are drop-shipped from one of our suppliers will be shipped directly from the supplier's premises within 48 hours of order placement. Please allow up to 10 days for your products to arrive unless you have chosen an expedited delivery service.

Expedited shipping is available upon request for in-store stock items only. For expedited orders, the following order fulfillment times will apply:

• Orders received by 10am Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, will be shipped the same day by 4pm.

• Orders placed after 10am Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, will be shipped by 4pm the following business day.

All orders are shipped Freight on Board (FOB) this means that the customer takes ownership of the parcel at the moment it enters the postal system. A Small World Online is not responsible for items delayed, damaged, or lost within the postal system. Only shipping options with insurance are guaranteed to be shipped within the time range given. Please note that A Small World Online is not responsible for late shipments - if you choose a service that has a guaranteed ship time, and your package arrives late - we can facilitate the refund of your shipping upon refund approval from Canada post.

A Small World Online reserves the right to refuse shipment of any order upon our own discretion.

SALES TAX
All Canadian purchases are subject to applicable taxes. (15% HST for NB, NF,NS, and 7% GST for all other Canadian provinces and territories.) Non-Canadian purchases are not taxed. See Exchange Rates.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Orders outside Canada and the USA will not be shipped if the billing and shipping addresses are different, unless we are able to verify the shipping address with your credit card company or payment is made by certified cheque, money order, or money transfer.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES & DUTIES
Service to the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Scotland and Ireland will soon be available! Slightly higher shipping costs and customs duties typically apply for these orders. If you are interested in having an item shipped to one of these destinations, please call or email to make special arrangements.

SHIPPING PRICE
Our shipping program maximizes shipping efficiency and bases price off weight and distance - not on a flat rate – in order to save you money! We also use durable, lightweight mailers (when applicable) to keep your postage costs down.

Canada $4.00 - $10.00
USA $4.00 - $15.00
*An exact shipping cost is based on weight and distance - this is calculated during checkout, but before payment.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & STORE CREDIT
A Small World Online stands behind the products we sell; we also value you as our customer! If for some reason you are not satisfied with your item, you may return it within 30 days of the purchase date for a refund or exchange, provided the following conditions are met:

1. A copy of original receipt should accompany your return; and

2. The product has not been worn, washed, or used, and its original tags and packaging are intact. If the item has been used and it is defective in some manner, please call (604) 215-0279 or e-mail info@asmallworldonline.com prior to shipping the return for a "defect authorization code". Please use the “defect authorization code” on your returning package.

3. The item is not a "clearance item" or has not been purchased at a sale price of over 30% off the original price. All clearance items and sale items purchased for more than 30% off of the original price are FINAL SALE ONLY, no refunds are available. Store credit will be granted if the item(s) are returned within 14 days of the original purchase date.

4. The return/exchange/credit form included with your order has been completed. Be sure to clearly indicate whether you would like a refund, exchange, or store credit. If you are exchanging, please indicate the items, sizes, and colors of the exchange items you wish to receive. If you would like a refund, please be sure to include the credit card number you used for the purchase, and expiration date for that card. Please allow up to 30 days for your return to be processed.

Please note: As credit card statements are cyclical, a credit to your account may not appear in the same month you returned the item. Please be sure to check two billing cycles to ensure proper credit has been received. RETURNING ITEMS VIA MAIL
Mail item(s) to be returned with the original invoice. Please indicate on the back of the invoice, or in an attached letter, the reason for the return of the item(s). Pack and seal your return securely (in the original package if possible). Address your package to:

Be sure to include your name, address and daytime phone number in case we need to contact you. Also allow up to 14 business days from the date you return your package for your return to be credited or exchange made.

A Small World Online is not responsible for any damage that may occur to the items you are returning during shipment. For your own protection, you may wish to send your return by insured parcel post or courier.

If you are returning items from the United States, please indicate on the package - for customs purposes - CANADIAN GOODS - RETURNED, otherwise there may be customs charges and or delays.

If you are making an exchange A Small World Online will pay the shipping costs for the new item(s) we are sending back to you. We will send your new item(s) by regular ground service; you may pay the difference to upgrade the expedited shipping service if you wish.
